JOB SUMMARY: The Colorectal Care Coordinator Data Specialist shall serve as the area receptionist and assist the case manager in maintaining the suspicious follow-up database for abnormal colorectal cancer screening done within the district. Additional responsibility includes monitoring of the scheduled follow-up appointments for additional diagnostic testing required as a result of abnormal findings from the Colorectal screening program for all facilities, assisting with education and outreach activities, and follow-up calls for unreturned FOBT/FIT tests distributed to increase return percentages. The Colorectal Care Coordinator Data Specialist shall work closely with the Pathology Department to receive a list of patients with positive results on the FOBT and work closely with the Colorectal Nurse Case Manager to monitor for appropriate and timely follow-up diagnostics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:High school Diploma/Typing
2.Work Experience (Years and Area):5 or more years in a Primary or Specialty Health Care setting possibly including experience in Patient receipts / Medical Records / Appt Center/ and Eligibility.
3.Management Experience (Years and Area):N/A
4.Equipment Operated:Computer/Fax/Copy Desktop and basic use of Microsoft office -word/ Microsoft Office Excel / Cadence/Chasis Elig/Epic
