The Gastroenterology Technician I (GT I) performs a variety of activities that support the nursing and medical staff of the GI Lab, which includes preparing supplies, equipment, and room for procedures; handling of specimen and cleaning/disinfecting scopes and other equipment according to standards; and troubleshooting equipment appropriately. The GT I demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Certifications: Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.

Work Experience: One (1) year perioperative and/or other related procedural area experience preferred.
