Procures, prepares, and stains tissue sections. Assists the pathologist in making microscopic diagnoses.
a) Strong working knowledge with performance of sampling, accessioning and grossing, tissue processing and staining, QC.
b) Experience with instrument calibration and validation, Testing management
c) Encompassing functions toward the attainment of quality testing within the laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:

• Graduate of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnology Program
• OR ASCP Certification as a Histotechnician

Work Experience:

• One year experience in Immuno Histo Chemistry staining is preferred.

Equipment Operated: Microtome, Automatic Stainer, Automatic Slide coverslipper, Tissue Processor
