JOB SUMMARY: The HIV Projects Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership, coordination and promotion of comprehensive quality HIV programs and services. In coordination with the treatment team, the HIV Project Coordinator participates in internal/ external outreach activities for the reduction and elimination of HIV/AIDSs and related communicable disease. The Coordinator will also will serve as a liaison, resource and counsel to departments and service lines seeking implementing HIV related services within their department. Assist in developing annual departmental goals and objectives. Take the lead in special projects as assigned by department leadership.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelors degree in social service or healthcare. Masters preferred.
2. Work Experience (Years and Area): Five (5) years in healthcare, with a minimum of 3 years paid experience in HIV related Services.
3. Project Lead/Coordination experience (Years and Area): Project coordination/leadership experience preferred.
4. Equipment Operated: Personal Computer and associated software

4. Work Schedule: Weekdays 1 Weekends for special events as needed Flexible Travel

5. Other Requirements:
Knowledge of HIV care and treatment service delivery; HIV transmission; HIV testing; HIV risk-reduction techniques; health behavior theories and models; and communities most impacted by HIV/AIDS. Knowledge of and experience implementing strategies to recruit for HIV testing and prevention including approved social media outreach. Experience interacting with health care professionals, CBOs, FQHCs and state and local health department staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
