Job Summary

The Correctional Health IT Lead Field Service Technician is responsible for the development and implementation of solutions and coordinating the deployment and tracking of IT equipment in all Correctional Health facilities at the Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO). Evaluates system capability to determine requirements and to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs and develops requirements to improve the efficiency and utilization of the IT infrastructure. Develops and tests hardware solutions and provides/develops customer training. Works as the liaison between the HCSO, Harris Health, and Universal Services IT teams. Creates training plan for new initiative, ensuring that the Field Service operation is capable of supporting the needs of the user's sites currently and in the future.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees:
a) Bachelor's Degree or 4 years related experience

Work Experience:
a) Seven (7) Years Work Experience: combined experience in telecommunications, voice, data, and call center or related areas; experience with break fix activities; hardware selections and deployment

Communication Skills:
a) Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
b) Writing/Correspondence
c) Writing/ Reports

Proficiencies:
a) MS Excel

Other Special Requirements

Other Requirements: Must be willing to respond to IT related Outages on 24x7 basis or establish a rotating department schedule. Must have strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work efficiently, and good team orientation.
