Job Summary

Primarily responsible for the support of laboratory operations by managing data, creating dashboards, data visualization through Tableau and EPIC, development of reports through Epic (EHR) and SAP Business Objects. The Clinical Lab Informatics Manager will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the Department of Laboratory Services (DOLS) and external departments within the organization including IT EPIC Analytical team; Contribute to business decisions through a data lens by extracting, analyzing, and interpreting health data; and Train clinical staff on technology and programs. Responsible for the development and maintenance of internal quality databases and the support of external databases. As a collaborative member of the laboratory team, enhances patient safety and quality by giving full representation to the needs of the clinical and pathology staff. Acts as an expert clinical resource for clinical systems such as Beaker & SoftBank) and serves as the liaison between quality management and information systems and provides end-user functional support for quality applications.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree:
a) Bachelor's Degree: Clinical Laboratory Science or other related fields
b) Master's Degree: Health Informatics/Health Information Management (Preferred)

Licenses & Certifications:
a) MT, ACSP
b) Epic Beaker CP & AP certification required. Advance certificate in Cogito preferred. Certifications must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
c) SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Business Objects certificate preferred. Tableau certificate preferred. Health or Laboratory Informatics Certification (Preferred)

Work Experience:
a) Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or other related fields AND five (5) years work experience in health informatics/Experience with LIS Systems Epic Beaker and SoftBank/Clinical Laboratory Experience preferred

OR

b) Master's degree in health informatics/health information management AND three (3) years work experience in health informatics within a clinical setting/Experience with LIS Systems Epic Beaker and SoftBank/Clinical Laboratory Experience preferred (Preferred)
