Job Summary

The Lead Crisis Intervention Specialist (LCIS) serves as the clinical expert in behavioral crisis intervention related to de-escalation techniques; restraint and seclusion; and patient rights. The LCIS assists the manager in leading the daily operations of Harris Health clinical areas and leads the team in the absence of the manager, as assigned. Other job functions include weekly scheduling, training and serving as a resource to hospital staff on patients experiencing behavioral health issues.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree:
a. Bachelor of Nursing Degree: degree in Nursing or Social Science related field (Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology)

Licensure/Certification:
a. Certificate: Licensure appropriate to education and role;Other certificates as required by unit/service
b.Basic Life Support:from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program
c. Satori - Managing Aggression: Accredited Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA) certification required within 90 days of hire

Work Experience:
a. Two (2) Years Work Experience required; mental health crisis intervention inpatient psychiatric hospital experience preferred

Management Experience:
a. Two (2) Year of Management Experience
