Job Summary - CORRECTIONAL HEALTH
Assists the Department Director by performing clerical and administrative duties, maintains various computer databases and coordinates project documentation activities. Responsible for coordination of Texas mental health state hospital-related court orders, state hospital admission process and facilitation of return to Harris County. Coordinates activities with the Harris Center and the Harris County Jail Transportation Division. Responsible for maintaining statistics of state hospital activities related to patients pending transfer and those transferred. Performs a variety of clerical activities associated with this process. Interacts with the courts to receive state hospital-related court orders and to initiate the state hospital admission process.
Minimum Qualifications
School Education: High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience: Two (2) Years Work Experience Secretarial or Office Management using MS Access and Excel
Management Experience: Two (2) Years of Management Experience preferred
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking), Writing/Correspondence, Writing/Reports
Proficiencies: MS Word, P.C., Typing WPM_35
